Imaging Associates Mitcham recognised as innovators in the local community

We are delighted to announce that Imaging Associates Mitcham has won the prestigious Innovation Award in the Small Business category at the 2023 Whitehorse Excellence in Business Awards. The awards celebrate businesses located within Whitehorse that demonstrate excellence in leadership, results, and connection to the local community. Entries are judged by an independent panel of local business leaders and past winners.

Award winners were announced at the Whitehorse Excellence in Business Awards Gala Dinner, held on Friday the 27th of October. Clinical Director, Dr Daniel Lee, accepted the award on behalf of the Imaging Associates Mitcham team.

The award represents the culmination of the commitment, drive and determination of our Mitcham team to deliver excellence in medical imaging, and to go above and beyond to serve the local community.

The award also recognises our pioneering approach to radiology through our use of Artificial Intelligence in breast imaging diagnosis. Imaging Associates was amongst the first provider in Australia to incorporate Transpara AI and Volpara into mammographic analysis. This software accurately and objectively calculates mammographic breast density, improving diagnostic accuracy and workflow efficiency, contributing to the fight against breast cancer.

Imaging Associates Mitcham also hosts the Mitcham Breast Care Rapid Assessment Service, a collaboration between our team and a group of local breast surgeons and is one of the first of its kind in Australia. This rapid, one-step comprehensive service enables patients to be seen by one of the team’s breast surgeons within two working days of their referral, for an expert assessment of any potential breast problems.
