Dr Parameswaran has a long and distinguished career as a radiologist. He joined Imaging Associates in 2017, having practiced for over twenty years here in Australia and overseas.

Bimal completed his medical degree and then trained as a Radiologist in India. He was attracted to Radiology by the rapid advancements in Radiology as a field of medicine and the opportunity it provides to use interpretative skills. He began working as a Consultant Radiologist in 1997 and completed post-doctoral studies in Neuro & Vascular Radiology in 2000. Bimal lectured in Oncologic Imaging in India before taking up a position as a Radiologist in Bahrain where he worked until 2007, when he relocated to Australia.

Over the past two decades, Bimal has authored and co-authored numerous published papers and journal articles and he has presented at medical conferences both in Australia and internationally. In 2011, he completed a fellowship in Oncologic Imaging at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre in Melbourne, working as a radiologist at Peter MacCallum until 2016, when he undertook a visiting fellowship in Abdominal Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
